Southland Vikings Gets Victory Over Bloomington Bobcats

Southland Vikings took the lead late and defeated Bloomington Bobcats 10-8 on Wednesday. The game was tied at eight with Southland Vikings batting in the bottom of the eighth when Gabe Gomez doubled off of Nick Brune, driving in two runs.

Southland Vikings collected 12 hits and Bloomington Bobcats had nine in the high-scoring affair. Bloomington Bobcats took an early lead in the first inning. A wild pitch by Brandon Thomasscored one run for Bloomington Bobcats.

After Bloomington Bobcats scored one run in the top of the sixth, Southland Vikings answered with one of their own. Bloomington Bobcats scored when Jack Butler singled off of Hunter Kraynak, driving in one run. Connor Spear earned the win for Southland Vikings. He threw two innings, surrendering zero runs, three hits, striking out three, and walking zero.

Thomas started the game for Southland Vikings. He went two and a third innings, allowing six runs, three hits, and striking out four.Home runs for Bloomington Bobcats came when Ryan Scott homered in the seventh inning and Addison Fugitt homered in the first inning.
