In what was a short game due to power not being available at Highland HS, the Vikings had to play this in a short amount of time. It was Trey Pitcock who pitched all 5 innings for the Vikings today.
The runs started off for the Vikings in the top of the 1st thanks to an error by the Panthers and were up 2-0. Runs wouldn't come back for the Vikings until the top of the 3rd where it was a James Kirk RBI groundout to extend the lead to 3. The Panthers at the bottom of the third tied it up thanks to some walks and a double, the game was tied up at 3.
The Vikings immediately answered back in the top of the 4th lacing in 2 runs to make it a 5-3 ballgame. Then in the bottom of the 4th the Panthers would tack on 2 and tied it up again. It was then the bottom of the 5th, the Panthers with runners on second and third walked it off once more against the Vikings.
In what felt like a rushed but exciting game with a lot of scoring. The Vikings look to get one back when they take on the Miracle at home on Wednesday.
