By: Griffin Winiecki

With only one month left in the season, it only meant that the all star game was coming closer. The Vikings had 6 players selected for the Northern League All Star game. It was pitchers Trey Pitcock and Mason Leckrone to start off the selections.

Pitcock posting a 4-2 record with 20 total strikeouts and an ERA of 3.429 has been the top guy for the Vikings as the season continues

. Leckrone has had it a little rough this year with a 0-4 record but his opportunities within relief have helped the Vikings a lot this season.

The 4 position players selected for the all star game were: Owen Bendis, Preston Lund, Micheal Lustina, and Nick Mangano.

Bendis has been on a tear lately recently having a 6 game hitting streak and racking up a lot of RBI's his stats on the year are .267 AVG .431 OBP 12 H 10 RBI's and 12 BB

Preston Lund was a late addition to the team but since joining, he has been nothing but great. Lund has .310 AVG .535 OBP 9 H 9 RBI's and 12 BB

Micheal Lustina, who suffered a injury early in the year, has come in playing a good amount of games and made a real impact for the Vikings this season. Lustina, slashing a .333 AVG .481 OBP 7 H 4 RBI's and 6 BB

Nick Mangano, who has been the guy for the Vikings since the start, there was no surprise that he would be taken for the All Star game. Mangano who is hitting .283 AVG . 400 OBP 15 H 6 2B 6 RBI's 9 BB and is also tied for first on the team with 7 stolen bags.

Our all stars will be divide amongst teams between the East and West teams. The East is coached by the Miracle's Wilson Valera and the West team is coached by the Oilmen's Tyler Zunkel.
