With 3 games left in the year, the Vikings were hoping to continue to stay hot and win more games in what was the start of a 3 game series for against the Oilmen in Oil City. The Vikings in their first game gave the starting nod over to their ace so far this year, Trey Pitcock.

The Vikings as usual started off scoring early gaining a run off of a Miles Cvelbar RBI single. The Oilmen would then come back in innings 1 and 2 gaining 3 runs and holding onto a 3-1 lead heading into the top of the 3rd. The Vikings would jump back into the lead from some walks and an RBI by Zach Norwine and totaling up 3 runs in the top of the 3rd and taking the lead at 4-3. The Oilmen weren't going to go down without a fight though, as they put up 2 more to take the lead at 5-4 at the end of the 3rd inning.

The Vikings continued to fire back and scored a run when it was a Isaiah Steinhilber single that tied the game up. The Oilmen who also weren't going to stop scored a run and taking back the lead 6-5. It was then thanks to a couple of hits form Zach Norwine and Nick Mangano the Vikings scored 3 runs and took the lead 8-6. 

There wouldn't be any scoring until the 8th inning when the Vikings scored 4 more runs and shut down the Oilmen hitters the rest of the game winning it by a score of 12-6.

The Vikings looked good on the hitting side of the ball and defensively were a strong unit despite a couple of errors. When asked what went right for the guys tonight Coach Hunt said, "They were just having a good time out there and got the bats hot at the same time". 

The Vikings look to take another win in this series from the Oilmen as they have two more games tomorrow and Saturday to finish out the year.
